Member News: Saunders Yachtworks Expands Customer Service Dept.

Gulf Shores, Ala. – April 2, 2014 – Saunders Yachtworks has hired
Mitch Bradley and Timothy Gibson as customer service representatives
for the company’s full-service boatyards in Gulf Shores and Orange
Beach, Ala. Additionally, Craig McLeod will move his customer service
skills to a new assignment in Orange Beach.

Bradley, Gibson and McLeod will work directly with new and existing
customers, writing all service orders and coordinating with service
managers and subcontractors to get work completed. They will also keep
customers informed of job progress and review invoices for payment.

According to Saunders President John Fitzgerald, the increase in
business following the construction of an additional boatyard capable of
servicing a larger segment of the industry has led to a need for expansion
in the customer service department.

“Customer service is our top priority at Saunders,” Fitzgerald said. “We
have grown to the point where we needed to add staff so we could
provide a consistent level of customer service. All three of these men
have strong backgrounds in the marine industry, and we feel fortunate to
welcome them into the Saunders family.”

Bradley spent 21 years in the Coast Guard and has a 200-ton captain’s
license. He has experience as a dockmaster, a charter boat captain and a
yacht captain, as well as a background in management and aviation mechanics. Gibson completed a five-year stint in the Coast Guard and
has accumulated technical and management experience in the operations
and service sides of such companies as West Marine and Gulf Coast
Hatteras. McLeod has been in the industry for more than 30 years,
working most significantly for Jarrett Bay as a mechanical and electrical
systems supervisor and Marine Exhaust System Inc. in product
development and sales.

The Saunders family has been in the marine service business in coastal
Alabama since 1959. The company has operated Yachtworks at Orange
Beach Marina since 1995 and recently constructed a brand-new boatyard
and basin in Gulf Shores. Saunders offers a full array of services for
vessels up to 130 feet, including propulsion engine repowers, interior
remodels and overall vessel refits. For more information, please visit
