The ABBRA Boatyard Business Conference will focus on the operational, legislative, workforce, and technical business issues critical in day-to-day management of boatyards and marine service facilities today while also considering a vision for the future. The theme of the event is “Sustainability & Growth of the Traditional Boatyard in a New Global Marketplace”

Session Topics Include:

  • Leadership and the evolution of effective management practices in the boatyard business
  • The impacts of globalization on service delivery and quality
  • Innovative workforce initiatives… that are working
  • Education, training and the need for uniform standards in the technical trades
  • Creative approaches to boatyard business development and new thinking about the business of boatyard services
  • The national regulatory and legislative landscape… the trends and the impacts

This conference is unique and builds on the success of the ABBRA 2011 Summer Symposium format. The ABBRA conference will be completely focused on the business of running a boatyard whether a boatbuilding, boat repair, service/maintenance or  refit facility.

Member Fee: $ 295.00

Non-Member Fee: $ 395.00 (Contact ABBRA for more information about our new member special for conference attendees)

Guest Fee: $ 125.00 (Only spouses and/or partners not working at marine business will be considered guests)

Conference Hotel & Registration Fee
The Conference Hotel is the beautiful oceanfront B Ocean Hotel on Fort Lauderdale Beach, Florida. This recently remodeled and upgraded boutique hotel boasts breathtaking ocean views from each room, excellent restaurants on property and is walking distance from the beach and other popular local venues. The Conference Attendee rate at B Ocean Hotel is $169 per night including breakfast. The Conference Registration Fee includes access to Conference sessions, the cocktail reception, two lunch meetings and the Thursday night dinner meeting.

Cancellation/Refund Policy
Conference Registration is non-refundable after December 31, 2012.  Cancellations after that date will not be refunded.  If you are also booking a hotel, reservations must be made through the official conference reservation website, and may be cancelled up to 72 hours prior to arrival.
