ABBRA’s 2019 Symposium is Not to be Missed!

The American Boatbuilders & Repairers Association is looking forward to their 2019 Annual Meeting and Symposium scheduled for Jan. 22 & 23 at the Pier 66 Hotel in Fort Lauderdale. As the only conference designed by boatyard operators for boatyard operators, this event is totally focused on the issues facing boatbuilding and repair companies today.

The event begins with the Annual Business meeting, awards presentations and cocktail party on the 22nd and continues on the 23rd with a full day of relevant thought-provoking workshops that will encourage attendees to share their thoughts, concerns and solutions to the problems that so many businesses deal with every day.

“We have an excellent line up of speakers – including this year’s keynote which will be delivered by Richard Downs-Honey, President of The Landing School, along with perennial favorites like Steve Kitchin of New England Institute of Technology and attorney Ben Ford, Verrill Dana LLP, along with Katie Spiker, National Skills Coalition a newcomer to the conference. And we are really looking forward to a special conversation with Wendy Goodwin,
Cape Cod Shipbuilding, Jessica Parker, Parker’s Boat Yard and Nadia Williams, Lamb’s Yacht Center who will share their perspectives on the future of boatbuilding and repair!” according to Pam Lendzion, ABBRA’s Executive Director.

Symposium sponsors include Great American Insurance Group, Starkweather and Shepley Marine Risk Solutions, Opening Reception and Pro-Set/West System, Luncheon Sponsor, as well as DockMaster and LRT Group, Symposium Sponsors. “We are truly grateful to these companies for their support of this conference that means so much to our industry” says Ron Helbig, Noank Village Boatyard, ABBRA Board President.
